Center for Community Change
The Center for Community Change builds and strengthens grassroots organizations by: providing strategic assistance; stimulating organizing in particular parts of the country or within key constituencies; building relationships among grassroots organizations that cross the dividing lines of race, gender and geography; investing in the development of organizing talent; supporting non-traditional, experimental, or hybrid approaches to organizing that show great promise; and perhaps most importantly, by aligning grassroots organizations, allies and resource providers around a common political vision, message and strategy.

Center for the Study and Prevention of Violence
The Center for the Study and Prevention of Violence (CSPV), a research program of the Institute of Behavioral Science (IBS) at the University of Colorado at Boulder, was founded in 1992 to provide informed assistance to groups committed to understanding and preventing violence, particularly adolescent violence. Since that time, our mission has expanded to encompass violence across the life course. CSPV has a threefold mission to collect research literature and resources on the causes and prevention of violence and provides direct information services to the public by offering topical searches on customized databases, to offer technical assistance for the evaluation and development of violence prevention programs, and to maintain a basic research component through data analysis and other projects on the causes of violence and the effectiveness of prevention and intervention programs. Child Welfare Information Gateway
Formerly the National Clearinghouse on Child Abuse and Neglect Information and the National Adoption Information Clearinghouse, Child Welfare Information Gateway provides access to information and resources to help protect children and strengthen families.

Communities Against Violence Network
CAVNET is a comprehensive, searchable database for information about violence against women.

Community Tool Box
The goal of the Community Tool Box is to support your work in promoting community health and development. The Tool Box provides over 6,000 pages of practical skill-building information on over 250 different topics. Topic sections include step-by-step instruction, examples, check-lists, and related resources.

Family Violence Prevention Fund
The Family Violence Prevention Fund works to prevent violence within the home, and in the community, to help those whose lives are devastated by violence because everyone has the right to live free of violence.

Institute for Community Peace
The Institute for Community Peace promotes a safe, healthy and peaceful nation by mobilizing community resources and leadership.

Interpersonal Violence Prevention Information Center
Promoting healthy relationships and preventing gender-based violence across the life span.

Minnesota Center Against Violence and Abuse
The Minnesota Center Against Violence and Abuse (MINCAVA) is an electronic clearinghouse with educational resources about all types of violence, including higher education syllabi, published research, funding sources, upcoming training events, individuals or organizations that serve as resources, and searchable databases with more than 700 training manuals, videos, and other education resources. MINCAVA is also part of a cooperative project—the Violence Against Women Online Resources—between the Center and the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs, Violence Against Women Office. This website provides law, criminal justice, and social service professionals with current information about interventions to stop violence against women.

National Center for Victims of Crime

National Center for Injury Prevention and Control
Information on intimate partner violence, sexual violence and violence prevention. The National Center for Injury Prevention and Control (NCIPC) is part of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

National Center on Domestic and Sexual Violence

National Committee for the Prevention of Elder Abuse
The mission of NCPEA is to prevent abuse, neglect, and exploitation of older persons and adults with disabilities through research, advocacy, public and professional awareness, interdisciplinary exchange, and coalition building.

National Resource Center on Domestic Violence
The National Resource Center on Domestic Violence (NRCDV) provides support to all organizations and individuals working to end violence in the lives of victims and their children through technical assistance, training and information on response to and prevention of domestic violence.

National Sexual Violence Resource Center
The National Sexual Violence Resource Center (NSVRC) is a comprehensive collection and distribution center for information, statistics, and resources related to sexual violence.

National Violence Against Women Prevention Research Center
Sponsored by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. This website is designed to be useful to scientists, practitioners, advocates, grassroots organizations, and any other professional or lay person interested in current topics related to violence against women and its prevention.

National Women's Health Information Center
Free reliable health information for women, including topics such as body image, disabilities, mental health, pregnancy and violence. Información en Español.

Oregon Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence
The Oregon Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence is a feminist organization made up of programs across the state serving victims and survivors of domestic and sexual violence. Their mission is to raise awareness about or regarding violence against all women and children and to work towards non-violence through leadership in advocacy, public policy, resource development, and social change.

Partnerships Against Violence
Partnerships Against Violence Network is a "virtual library" of information about violence and youth-at-risk, representing data from seven different Federal agencies.

PREVENT
The PREVENT Program is designed to facilitate the change process by providing Education, Networking and Technical Assistance to help individuals and organizations nationwide reduce violence through local, state, tribal and national approaches.

Prevention Institute
The Prevention Institute is a non-profit national center dedicated to improving community health and well-being by building momentum for effective primary prevention. This site includes tools, publications and other resources on violence prevention.

Sexuality Information and Education Council of the United States (SIECUS)
SIECUS affirms that sexuality is a fundamental part of being human, one that is worthy of dignity and respect. We advocate for the right of all people to accurate information, comprehensive education about sexuality, and sexual health services. SIECUS works to create a world that ensures social justice and sexual rights. Website contains many useful publications related to sexuality education and policy.

Stop It Now!
Stop It Now! is a national nonprofit organization which created a ground-breaking public health approach to prevent the perpetration of child sexual abuse. They are engaged in public policy, public education, and research programs. Their site includes a great resource list of child sexual abuse prevention approaches and strategies.

Transforming Communities
Creating Safety and Justice for Women and Girls (TC) is a national leader in the creation of contemporary, community-based approaches to preventing violence against women and girls. By developing and implementing prevention campaigns and by disseminating best practices through trainings and publications, TC advances the prevention agenda, particularly within the domestic violence field.

The online resource for advocates working to end domestic violence, sexual assault, and other violence in the lives of women and their children.
