Media Toolbox
"Dealing with the Media" is a toolbox of resources on the do's and dont's of working with the media.

Reporting Sexual Assault: A Guide for Journalists
With news media serving as a primary source of information for most adults in the United States, journalists are in a unique position to frame the public discussion on sexual assault. The toolkit, compiled with input from reporters, editors, publishers, and representatives from the Michigan Press Association (MPA), is designed to assist journalists in accurately and fairly covering incidents of sexual assault in their communities.

Working with the Media: A Toolkit for Service Providers
This Service Provider tool kit is a companion to the "Guide for Journalists." It includes some basic information about the media, and provides a foundation for reshaping the public discussion on sexual assault. MCADSV hopes that this resource will encourage relationships between local media and sexual assault programs. This resource will prepare advocates to be responsive while proposing strategies for approaching local media outlets.
